-Snail Tail Inc. guarantees live arrival. In the rare occurrence of a dead on arrival package, we must be contacted within 12 hours of the package arriving.

-Our primary shipping method is USPS Priority mail (2-3 days) for almost all of our orders. Supplies can be shipped USPS Ground (3-5 days), but depending on the weight are often shipped Priority as well. USPS Express (overnight) mail is an option on our site, but please be aware that shipping FRESH cultures overnight doesn't make much sense, as they will require at least a few days to start producing.

-We only ship to the United States. We DO NOT ship to Canada.

-We only ship Monday – Wednesday. Any orders placed after Wednesday morning will ship the following Monday. Packages normally go out the same or next day.

-We cannot guarantee any stage of the fruit fly life cycle. We try our best to accomodate customers who are in a rush for flies and need Producing cultures, but we cannot guarantee anything but a healthy fresh culture. For this reason please order flies with time to spare, to ensure your newborn chameleon or newly-aquired dart frog won't go hungry.

-Somebody must be home to accept the package when delivered or guarantees may be void.

-We accept Paypal, All major Credit and Debit Cards, money orders and cashier's checks. Checks can be made payable to Snail Tail Inc. No orders are shipped until checks are fully cashed. Cash is accepted on local pickups; call or email to arrange a pickup.

-Snail Tail Inc. reserves the right to refuse business with any individual.

-In the event of a DOA package, a replacement is the normal course of action; in most cases it is the customer's responsibility to pay additional shipping costs and we will cover the cost of the replacement. Credit and refunds are another option, but shipping costs are non-refundable and will usually need to be paid again for an additional shipment. .

-Proof (pictures) of a DOA package is not normally required, but Snail Tail Inc. reserves the right to request it..

-We base shipping charges on a flat rate depending on the weight of the order. In the rare event of slight over charging (normally a few cents), it may not be refunded.

-A $1.50 "Handling Fee" may be added to online orders upon checkout for necessary cold/heat packs.

-Heat and cold packs will be added to orders by what the weather is like in our area. If the temperature is extra extreme in your area, email me asap so I can adjust the box temperature accordingly. If temperatures drop below 37F or rise above 95F, Express shipping will be required for our live arrival guarantee. If temps go above or below these temps it is the customers responsibility to request the package be held until weather improves; it is the customers responsibility to notify me to add heatpacks/coldpacks.

-When temperatures drop below 35F or rise above 95F or if there is extreme weather conditions including snow storms, heat waves, etc., we reserve the right to postpone shipping until weather conditions improve.

-We reserve the right to postpone shipping when Postal Holidays interfere with shipping. We try not to have live flies sitting at the post office on days they are closed. In 2013, for example, Postal holidays will interfere with shipping, making it unsafe to ship Priority packages until 1/6/14.

-Prices on website may not reflect shipping expenses; they will be added during checkout.

-Prices on website does not include tax; this will be calculated upon checkout for NY state residents.

-Recurring orders that haven't been shipped yet cannot be refunded so please order what you will surely need. I may be able to issue a refund in some cases but it isn't guaranteed with recurring orders.

Snail Tail Inc. is located on Long Island, New York. If you are local and would like to pick up your order, you may do so. Just be sure to contact us first to secure a day and time and let us know how many flies you will be needing. Contact us and I will be more than happy to arrange a pickup.

Payment on local pickups can happen in two ways. You can order and pay online and then call to confirm a pickup time, or you can call first, tell us what you will be needing and pay in cash. Which ever way works best for you.

All of our Terms and Guarantees still apply. Tax may or may not beincluded in the price.

-Printed Gift Certificates are transferable if they do not include a recipient email address. For security and verification purposes, you may be required to verify your identity using a credit card.

-Multiple gift certificates can be redeemed on a single purchase if they are in the same currency. Unused balances may be applied to other purchases.

-Gift certificates do not expire and do not accrue maintenance fees.

-Neither the Snail Tail Flies nor PayPal are responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates.

-No written of graphic material may be taken from this website without prior permission from Snail Tail Inc.
